Materials for LFAM
The Caracol platform is designed to process pelletized polymers and compounds, balancing mechanical performance, service temperature, and flexibility by application. The sections below summarize the material families AMS published on the original WooCommerce listing for this product.
Featured families
PP GF
Polypropylene with 30% glass fiber
Strong mechanical properties with low weight. It can replace many conventional glass-fiber and aluminum applications. Caracol has qualified it for marine structural parts and aerospace tooling and molds. Indicative service temperature up to 80 °C.
PA FC
Polyamide with 30% carbon fiber
Rigid, flame-resistant, and lightweight. PA FC suits lightweight, high-performance structures in medium-temperature environments and helps substitute metals to cut cost and mass. Tensile strength up to ~130 MPa and indicative service temperature of 150 °C.
PC-CF
Polycarbonate with 20% carbon fiber
Delivers a strong blend of thermal and mechanical performance. Qualified for mid-temperature autoclave cycles, with indicative service temperature up to 130 °C and working pressure around 3–6 bar, depending on process and geometry.
Flexible TPE
High-strength, flexible TPE elastomer
Enables large-scale parts with a rubber-like feel. Ideal for topologically optimized flexible structures such as cushions and seats. Indicative hardness up to 90 Shore A and service temperature around 80 °C.
